Okay. I broke it.

I made webirc so no one else can post, only view. It now posts as me in channel.

slIRC is a project developed to allow people who have no IRC access the ability to participate in channel. It was named "Stateless IRC" because it is a web page and does not maintain any open ports beween updates.

In channel the user is named "WebIRC" and when someone talks "revantine says," is placed before the message. slIRC requires a login to talk in channel, and that username is used. This prevents a person from immitating another user.

You can view the output at https://210.revantine.com/cgi-bin/slIRC.cgi
Username "demo" and password "demo" (without the quotes)

To request a username to talk you need to send a private message to Revantine in the forums at http://undernetlinuxnewbie.org with a polite request, a username and password. You must have participated in channel and demonstrated your ability to follow the rules, mostly because I don't want my interface banned.

Update:
I added tracking for who is logged in.
When you join it tells the channel (it did only this before).
When you leave it tells the channel after 90 seconds without a refresh.
In channel, anyone can type ".webirc who" (no quotes) and it will tell who is logged in.
