A tad bit about Hawkwind ->
I am a 33 year old guy who lives in Houston, Texas, though originally from Merritt Island, Florida(Just across from where the space shuttle launches). I have been using Linux for nearly 3 years now. I currently use the Mandrakelinux distro which I truly love. I started with Mandrake in the beginning and have tried a few other distros such as slackware 9.0, arch-linux and Ubuntu. I feel so comfortable with Mandrake that I always seem to come back to it. I have been a regular in #LinuxNewbie since the day vigilante started it. I was the 6th person in the channel I believe and have never left.
I run my own channel on the irc.freenode.net IRC server called #LFD I also own the domain http://linuxfordummies.org as that is where you will find our wiki for the domain as well. We also have a forum which can be found at: http://linuxfordummies.org/phpBB
My goal is to help out anyone that I possibly can with Linux no matter what flavor, style or architecture it might be. I have had so many great people help me over the years and I feel it's the least I can do to give back to and to support the Linux/*Nix community.
