Default Web Content Directory

This page is for the default web shares content directory

Please list the distro, version(s) you know, and the absolute path.
Debian 3.0 woody, sarge: /var/www

Slackware:
Same as most of them, it's located in /var/www but this is a simple default configuration of the http server which is apache that comes with new/old Slackwares. you should ALWAYS verify and adjust the apache config file which is most likely in : /etc/apache/httpd.conf for the default install.
