Creative Nx Ultra under Linux

For this webCam to work under Linux there's need for an experimental module that you can obtain from here. You also need kernel sources. Follow the instructions to compile and when you're all set w/ the module,insmod/modprobe and you're good to go. When you plug your webCam you should see the LED get steady and you should get something like this : usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using address 7 usb 2-2: Product: Creative WebCam NX Ultra usb 2-2: Manufacturer: Creative /home/whiterabbit/WonderLand/Drivers/Creative/spca5xx-20050116/drivers/usb/spca50x.c: USBSPCA5XX camera found. Type Creative Webcam NX Ultra (SPCA505b unknown CCD) /home/whiterabbit/WonderLand/Drivers/Creative/spca5xx-20050116/drivers/usb/spca50x.c: [spca50x_probe:7211] Camera type YYUV You can use gnomeeting or whatever afterwards to test your newly configured webCam.
